Technical Bulletin # 232

 REPLACING T/R SET TEMPERATURE GAUGE

 Tools Required:

            -     8” Adjustable Wrench
            -     12” Adjustable Wrench

Safety Precautions:

PRIOR TO PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE, MAKE SURE THAT THE T/R SET IS DE-ENERGIZED AND LOCKED OUT USING THE PROPER INTERLOCK SEQUENCE.

Procedure:

1.         Remove the temperature gauge alarm cable by unscrewing the cable connector plug shield and then unplugging the cable.

2.         The temperature gauge probe screws into a brass well. The well is screwed into the T/R tank wall and allows the removal of the temperature gauge and probe without loss of T/R oil.

3.         Install the new gauge by inserting the probe into the probe well. Screw the gauge in only hand tight and adjust the position for easy reading.

4.         Plug in the temperature alarm cable and screw the plug shield hand tight.
